Applications here are highly competitive, having 3.93 as the average GPA of enrolling freshmen, and average SAT scores of 1251. The UCSD provides graduate and professional schools as well, with highly specialized courses such as Oceanography, Global Conflict and Cooperation, and Research in Computing and the Arts, to name a few.

• Go east on North Harbor Drive.
• Turn left at West Laurel Street.
• Turn left at India Street.
• Turn onto the I-5 North entrance
• Take the La Jolla Village Drive exit (28B).
• Turn left onto La Jolla Village Drive.
• Take the Gilman Drive ramp.
• Turn right at Gilman Drive.
• You will be at the Gilman Drive entrance. A UCSD visitor information center is on the right.

From the north

• Take I-5 south.
• Exit on Genesee Avenue west.
• Turn left onto North Torrey Pines Road.
• Turn left onto North Point Drive.
• You will be at the North Point Drive entrance. A UCSD visitor information center is on the right.

From the east

• Take I-8 east.
• Merge onto I-5 north.
• Take the La Jolla Village Drive exit.
• Turn left onto La Jolla Village Drive.
• Take the Gilman Drive ramp.
• Turn right at Gilman Drive.

From the south
