A Step Towards a Bright Future at UC Irvine

The University of California, Irvine or UCI offers a multitude of undergraduate research opportunities, over 150 academic programs, and a top-notch education provided through close personal attention from world-class faculty members with world-class educational facilities.

UC Irvine is the first public university with faculty who had received two Nobel Prizes in two different fields. One for chemistry and the other for physics both in the same year, 1995. It has ranked among the top 10 for information technology by eWeek, a national high-tech magazine, and is one of only two public universities to have received such a distinction. UC Irvine also provides merit scholarships, and a well-fostered atmosphere of learning from over 300 clubs and organizations.

According to the U.S. News and World Report, UC Irvine ranks among the top 50 universities nationally, and ranks 10th among all public universities in the nation. Ranking among the top in the nation for both undergraduate and graduate education in public universities, UCI also provides for a vibrant campus life through arts, lectures an athletic events. It also boasts of vast and expansive library collections.

UC Irvine has lofty goals for the future: it aims to become a flagship UC campus. As such, it is embarking on a strategic planning process that will further enrich the quality educational experience that it already provides to all of its students.
