Get the Best Education at UC Davis

Set in the heart of Central Valley, and close to the San Francisco Bay area, UC Davis is cherished as one of the last “small-town universities” within the world’s pre-eminent public university system, the University of California.

It is known as one of the nation’s top public research universities. According to the National Research Council, it has ranked 16th among the public universities nationwide, and has ranked 14th in this honor according to the U.S. News and World Report. With 4 colleges (Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, Engineering, and Letters and Science) and 5 professional schools (Education, Law, Management, Medicine, and Veterinary Medicine), it provides a strong and close-knit atmosphere that is conducive to the learning of each and every student. It is no wonder that one of UC Davis’ primary goals is to provide an attentive and research-enriched education.

Harked as the most comprehensive UC, UC Davis is a leader in interdisciplinary study, having more than 100 academic majors and 86 graduate programs. It is a Tier One research university, ranking 12th in research funding among public U.S. universities.   Most of its programs are nationally ranked, with an impressive roster of award-winning faculty members teaching more than 8,000 classes per quarter. It is also rich in culture and the arts, as showcased by the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts, which provides a full range of campus-based and international musical, theatrical, and dance performances. Art galleries and museums, as well as other cultural programs make for a well-rounded educational experience within the university.
